ASIA

he Asian continent houses the majority of the world distribution area of the species and probably the most important populations in the world. The exact distribution is unknown but there are observations and testimonies of almost all the mountain ranges present in Central Asia. It has been verified that it is abundant in some valleys of the Himalayas and in the Massif of the Annapurnas, as well as in the Altair mountains in Mongolia.

However, in some areas it seems more scarce as for example in some valleys of Pakistan (own observations), where the presence of domestic cattle and wild ungulates conditions the abundance of the species in these mountains.
