| |
Starting
point: Road from
Oncins to San Victorian,
next to signpost |
| |
Arrival
point: Summit of
Peña Montañesa
(2291 m.) |
| |
Itinerary
duration: One day
(from 3h 30min. to 5 hours
ascent) |
| |
Difference
in level: 1230 m. |
| |
Recommended
time of year: From
October to May, inclusive. |
| |
Aspects
of interest: panoramic
views with a sea of mountains
at our feet: Castillo Mayor,
massif of Monte Perdido,
Sierra de Guara. |
| |
Importante:
During the ascent places
are passed where cattle
graze freely without a shepherd
to watch over them from
June to September. During
these months it is not advisable
to ascend due to the high
temperatures reached on
the southern side of this
lime block, but if we decide
to go up in spite of everything
we must be very careful
not to scare the nervous
cattle, which may easily
fall over the precipice,
(keep dogs on a leash). |
