Project justification

he bearded vulture was extinct from the Peaks of Europe in mid 20th century, the last reproduction data dating back to the sixties.

   The main objective of this project is to create the necessary environmental conditions for the permanent establishment of the Bearded vulture specimens present in the mountainous area of the Peaks of Europe.
   At the same time it hopes to integrate the conservation programmes of the Bearded vulture in the annual plans that develop the steering plan for the use and management) of the National Park of the Peaks of Europe and adapt the conservation actions of the Bearded vulture in the National Park of the Peaks of Europe to the recommendations of the Strategy for the Conservation of the Bearded vulture in Spain.
