Project justification

he beer company Ambar la Zaragozana through the alcohol-free beer “Ambar Green” has been collaborating with the FCQ since 1997 in the dissemination of a message of hope for the conservation of the most threatened and emblematic species of Aragon, trying to show the citizens the need to take part in the conservation of the natural heritage.

Along this line, the FCQ and the Zaragozana have launched their “Green Species” campaign in order to disseminate, by means of communication and intervention actions (publishing materials, advertisements on radio and television, financing conservation actions…) the conservation of the most threatened species in our region (bear, the recently extinct bucardo (Spanish mountain goat, bearded vulture, grouse, ptarmigan, otter, Egyptian vulture…), transmitting a clear and concise message of their situation.

Thus, the participation in the protection of nature goes beyond what is considered as normal (official organisations and committed groups), generating a contact with the less technical and everyday citizen.

Therefore, the alcohol-free beer, Ambar Green, a totally natural and Aragonese product, appreciated by consumers, has actively committed itself to the protection of the Pyrenees species, financing part of the activities that the Foundation carries out.

The commitment of both institutions to carry out 8 successive campaigns within the period 1997-2004, has resulting in them receiving the Felix de Azara Environment Promotion Award 2003 from the Provincial Council of Huesca, in the category of companies committed to the dissemination and defence of the environment.
